Big Brother State": FBI Says Citizens Should Have No Secrets That The Government Can't Access

It seems a bit strange to be setting out the purpose of this blog after ten years blogging. The problem is that I neglected the blog for years, using it occasionally to get a post elsewhere indexed. So, after a total of about twenty million page views later, last year I decided to make this blog the Boggart Blog child dedicated to international politics.

And call me a conspiracy theorist if you like, possums, but in those ten years I've seen most of my 'conspiracy theories' come true, like this one I was warning of long before blogging was available to us. HerE's the lateST development in the Surveillance society or as Alex Jones might put it, the creation of a Prison Planet.

The surveillance state predicted in George Orwell's novel "1984" has gradually crept up on us. With no sense of irony, the government of the nation that calls itself "The land of the free" has led the way in trying to persuade citizents that the only way they can be safe from vague and largely fictitious "existential threats to democracy" is to surrender civil rights and freedom to determine our own destiny ...

Yet the war on cash goes on. The latest move is to encourage people to use their smartphone to do their online banking.
